Almost 4 years after it's initial limited release, Slabdragger's debut opus ‘Regress’ is finally coming back into print on both transparent ogre green and purple rain vinyl ahead of their performance at this year's Temples Festival. Released to little fanfare back in 2011, Slabdragger have been on somewhat of a roller-coaster ride ever since - playing with Saint Vitus, Church of Misery and Orange Goblin, along with the Supersonic, Desert and Damnation festivals and a split 12” with Meadows on Head of Crom Records. Phew.
With the next chapter of the Slabdragger story now just around the corner, along with a plethora of live activity, the timing is perfect to (re)introduce everyone to this gem of cosmic stoner-prog, and make it physically available on coloured vinyl for the first time.
Eight songs, clocking in at just under an hour, Slabdragger tackle such topics as epic quests to Nepal to find killer weed, rubbish Roman Centurions, battling huge Octopian creatures and drinking rum, to a soundtrack of huge, lumbering, power-riffage.
With Slabdragger’s forthcoming sophomore album to be released on Holy Roar Records later in 2015, this is sure to be the year of the ‘dragger…..
After the first pressing of this album selling out so quickly we have decided to repress this incredible record in purple rain and ogre green vinyl variants. We are also printing two new exclusive shirts to go along with this pre-order. Pre-orders will ship on and around April 27th.
