Our new sister label: Truthseeker Music

Posted on January 30th, 2015

Please give a warm welcome to our new sister label Truthseeker Music .

Headed up by Alex Leat, who has worked for Holy Roar for the past two years, and it is clear that he possesses everything needed to front up an open-ended endeavour that ably reflects his taste and talents, rather than Holy Roar simply be involved in the release of the forthcoming debut album from Human Future. Holy Roar has forged its own distinct path over the course of 8 years and the idea of helping sow the seeds of a new label, unencumbered by expectation or boundary, was too good to pass up. It's time to break new ground once more.

They will be kicking off with a release of the debut album by Human Future out April 27th.

'Spectrum' was recorded in the summer of 2014 at The Ranch Production House with Lewis Johns, and was mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

You can pre-order 'Spectrum' now from our store

Svalbard sign to Holy Roar Records for debut album.....

Posted on January 26th, 2015

.....and the third (!) new signing we announce this month is none other than the almighty SVALBARD. Having done a succession of singles, EPs and splits (both self-released and via Tangled Talk, amongst others) we couldn't be happier to be welcoming one of the best, most forwarding-thinking bands to Holy Roar. Combining elements of post-hardcore, crust and post-rock whilst making something wholly their own - this is a band that have played (and will play again) the awesome Temples Festival as well as shows with Funeral For A Friend. There aren't many bands that display that level of versatility without losing one iota of integrity or power.

A limited discography CD of all the bands own material to date will be up for preorder soon. This will only be available via holyroarrecords.com and via the band at shows. Svalbard are due to enter The Ranch with Lewis Johns to record their debut album for us in late February, with an early summer release planned. Get excited.

Rolo Tomassi sign to Holy Roar Records for forthcoming new album

Posted on January 19th, 2015

We are ecstatic to announce the return of Rolo Tomassi to Holy Roar Records for their forthcoming fourth album. Having first worked with Holy Roar from the start of the label in 2006, it has been a joy to watch one of the most inventive bands in the UK grow and grow - taking in world tours, recording an album with Diplo and much much more besides. With both band and label going from creative strength-to-strength, now feels like the perfect time to re-establish a new, improved, alliance.

The band have almost finished recording the album and, having had a sneak preview from the studio, we can reveal that this is their most exciting, progressive, direct and emotional material to date. The release will coincide with the bands 10th anniversary. Whilst an achievement in itself, Rolo Tomassi are clearly forever pushing forward artistically.

Keyboardist/Vocalist James Spence adds: "We're delighted to have the opportunity to work with Holy Roar again, a label that backed us right from the start. Having spent the last year crafting this new record we're all really excited to show everyone what we've been working on and to continue developing this band."

Start getting excited for a late spring/early summer release on Holy Roar......
